Position Opening - School Nurse Regional Coordinator

Position Overview: This is a new position that will work with school districts members to support COVID prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery activities which focus on school-based health programs for K-12. The coordinator will work regionally to support district members who employ or contract school nurse services. This position is funded through a Minnesota Department of Health grant to the Minnesota Service Cooperatives and will be hired through June 30, 2023. Specific areas of work include:

Regional Program Coordination:

  • Facilitate a Community of Practice amongst school nurses in the region.
  • Curate and share resources with school nurses in the region.
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation.
  • Provide professional development and training to school.
  • Coordinate a regional conference for school nurses.
  • Conduct ongoing needs assessment activities.

Statewide Networking:

  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure success and growth.
  • Collaborate on the development of information and training materials.
  • Participate in statewide meetings with other regional nurse staff.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required)
Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the MN Board of Nursing (required)
Licensure as a School Nurse (preferred)
Valid Driver’s License

Compensation: Salary and benefits commensurate with Southeast Service Cooperative compensation guidelines based primarily on education and experience, with a range between $65,000 and $80,000 plus a generous benefits package.
