FutureForward stems from community conversations between employers and schools. Local businesses are experiencing pressures on time, unheard of unemployment rates, and struggle to attract and retain talent. Schools are experiencing increased pressure and direction from national and state governing entities to connect and align their classrooms with businesses and industry. Both groups experience barriers like not knowing who to contact, inefficiencies in communication within organizations, repeat asks to large companies, limited equity for small and midsize businesses to participate due to awareness and capacity, and limited resources for rural communities. Both stakeholders want to do more with each other, but don’t know where to start.
