Southeast Service Cooperative has coordinated the Southeast Minnesota Redefining Ready initiative since August 2021, helping participating school districts take a broader, research-based approach to measuring student readiness for college, careers and life.
Redefining Ready (RR) is a national initiative launched by AASA that looks beyond a single test score and uses multiple indicators to better reflect the skills, experiences and preparation students need for success after high school.
Readiness indicators may include advanced coursework, Algebra II, early college credit, industry-recognized credentials, attendance, community service and other measures that more accurately reflect today’s educational landscape. By using a multi-metric approach, Redefining Ready provides schools with a more complete picture of what it means for students to be college ready, career ready and life ready.
