SSC Members pay a membership fee that provides them access to services and programs. For Public School and Local Government member organizations, membership includes governance rights. For Public School member organizations, membership also includes equity in SSC’s real property. Some services are available through SSC membership at no extra cost. Cost sharing for most services is managed with fees for usage, allowing us to maintain membership fees at the lowest possible level.
Our purpose is to coordinate cooperative endeavors of the membership efficiently, cost effectively, and through high quality service, providing savings and/or valuable benefits. To report these values to each Member organization, we research available, similar programs and conduct a cost comparison. If there is no comparative source, we attach a value based on our best information. For instance, the values of grant projects are allocated based on how the funding was spent and what additional resources it brought to members.
